The 1895 Delahaye, crafted by Emile Delahaye in Tours, France, marked a significant milestone as the first entirely French-built car. This pioneering two-seater, powered by a single-cylinder engine, reached speeds of up to 18 km/h (11 mph). Its rudimentary design, featuring belt-driven transmission and wooden wheels, exemplified the nascent stages of automotive technology.
